July Maine Windjammer Fest & Parade – Behold grand Tall Ships sailing by Rockland and Camden Harbor in a massive parade along with special events on shore in both towns. A fantastic event to really kick off summer.
July North Atlantic Blues Festival – Join in and sing-a-long, dance, and listen in on this two day festival featuring top blues bands from across the country, along with food fairs and craft fairs near the waterfront of Rockland mid July.
Aug Maine Lobster Festival in Rockland– Of course, we come for the tasty lobster dining, but this world renowned festival also features maritime displays and demonstrations, Maine arts and crafts, harbor cruises, contests, lots of wonderful entertainment, a parade, and much more. Past performers have included the Dixie Chicks, Willie Nelson, Chubby Checker, and the Temptations.

July 21-23: Yarmouth Clam Festival – Spectacles include a parade on Friday night, fireworks on Saturday night with festivities including Clam Shucking contests, clam cook-off, clam cooking demos, Firefighters’ Muster, musical performances and over 150 craftspeople, artists, and photographers displaying and selling their work… and clams!

July 29: Sunday River Tough Mountain Challenge – An ultimate summer event for athletic enthusiasts in July at Sunday River Resort with extreme obstacle courses for teams to race. The downright dirty dynamic mountain course is a test for top athletes and amateur competitors and fun for spectators to watch.
August Nonantum Paddle Battle event brings out kayaks, canoes and SUPs in a fun race up and down the Kennebunk River. Starting at the Nonantum Resort at 1pm on Sunday, kayakers, stand up paddleboarders and canoes head toward the Dock Square Bridge, pass under the Mat Lanigan Bridge to the back cove, around an obstacle and back to the riverfront resort, 1.6 miles total. The Nonantum hosts a bbq with a live band and beer tent to celebrate the winners, and all participants – both adult and kid categories, with prizes. Spectators along the river welcome and encouraged to cheer folks on during this Sunday fun day fundraiser for Kennebunkport Emergency Services.
August Maine Boats, Homes and Harbor Show – This three day event in Rockand exhibits beautiful boats, nautical gear, masterpieces for your home, along with artists, jewelers, food, musical talents, and watch kayak and paddleboard jousting.
AugustGreat Falls Balloon Festival in Lewiston-Auburn – One of the largest hot air balloon festivals in northern New England. Watch as a horde balloons launch from the banks of the beautiful Androscoggin River in Lewiston. Browse food booths, craft and trade stalls, revel in music from blues singers, to jazz, pop, and oldies and end the festivities enjoying the carnival and parade.
August Wells Annual Chilifest – Enjoy music and crafts as local Wells restaurant chefs come out of the kitchen to compete for the best chili on the last weekend in August.
