Guide to Windham and Sebago Lake Maine Hotels, Inns, and Lodging
The towns of Windham and North Windham are the gateway to Maine’s beautiful Lakes Region. Lake Sebago is the feature fresh water here – Maine’s deepest lake, and second largest to Moosehead. Windham sits on the southeast of Sebago, along with small town Standish.
Raymond is the north east shore of Sebago before Naples to the north, where Brandy Pond and Long Lake connect via old fashioned lock systems for boaters. Besides plentiful watersports, there are beaches and pine groves and parks in this pristine western part of the state.
Downtown Windham is thriving with Route 302 lined with shops, restaurants, lobster pounds and hotel lodging. Windham has mini-golf, go carts, snow tubing and an IMAX movie theatre for family fun along famous Route 302. Just a few minutes away, you’ll find cozier lakeside camps and cabins to roadside motels, and full camping resorts like Point Sebago.
Windham is a great destination for boaters, and beach lovers. Summerfest in Windham is a fun filled festival of local craftsmen and artists. Fishing tournaments are big too, in summer and winter- ice fishing that is.
