Fort Kent is located in the northernmost Aroostook County of Maine. Fort Kent may be best known for being home to an Olympic biathlete training center, the 10th Mountain Outdoor Club which attracts Olympic biathletes from around the world for this modern, state of the art training facility in Maine. Fort Kent is also host to the annual CAN-AM dogsled races which brings spectators and competitors from all over in the winter months. Summers in Fort Kent are ideal for biking and hiking, canoeing and exploring the vast land on an ATV trek. In fact, Fort Kent is the ending point and final destination for paddlers of the Northern Forest Canoe Trail.
