Located on the banks of the Kennebec River and right off of I-95, Waterville is a neat city location; its downtown area has cluster of historic structures, unique shops like Maine’s Marden’s and a variety of casual restaurants. Waterville is home to Colby College and Thomas College.

Along with Colby’s Museum of Art, Waterville has an atmosphere of art and culture with its Opera House and Railroad Square Cinema, yet a good old Maine flavor too. Waterville hosts many events including the Maine International Film Festival, Taste of Greater Waterville, and Waterville Intown Arts Fest. Waterville also offers recreational opportunities including golfing, trails for hiking, biking, snowshoeing, tubing and cross country skiing at the Quarry Road Recreational Area, and Sugarloaf ski resort is just over an hour away.

Water lovers will enjoy kayaking and boating on the Kennebec River. Many lodgings in Waterville include brand name hotels with cheaper accommodations as well as bed and breakfasts and Maine Inns. Waterville has plenty of watering holes too.
